wonder if anyone has made a gator type rv Iam looking for ideas how to put one togegther and what people used for parts Thanks JMP

To just bopp around the homestead, and to go to tractor shows, I use a lifted electric golf cart. with stryker tires on it, and a back seat/ pickup bed. If you are really serious Buggys Unlimited, sells a electric powered front axle.

Go with one of those Japanese mini trucks. With a 2" lift you can put some crazy off road tires on, they cost half as much as a UTV and have a real cab with heat etc. Mine is road legal, I get 40mpg in the summer with the 12" tires and 25-30 mpg in Manitoba winter with the 13" snow masters. 4-wheel drive and goes anywhere.

Haven't made one and don't really have a need for one, but I've been thinking about making one out of a shaft drive motorcycle that I have.

I figure the shaft could drive a differential via a u-joint and driveshaft.

Could configure whatever kind of front axle might work.

If you look around you can usually find a real factory built Gator or ATV. That just needs a drive belt, leaky tires fixed, a tune up and fresh fuel. For less $$$ than building some contraption.
