Just got a Gehl 125 Mix-All. It had the electronic scales. Ive never used a mill like this. So I need some pointers. All in all it looks great. It was used at a feed store and they have shutdown. Soo I got it cheap. The hammers look almost new. Im just worried about the electronic monitor. It looks pretty complex.

You need to give us the make and model of the scale. There could have been three different ones used on that model of Grinder. Also where are you at? Scale-tech at Anamosa,Iowa is great on scales and scale repair.
Here is a link to their web site. Ken is the owner and is an A-1 guy to deal with. He can tell you over the phone how to use it. You will need the model and make for him too.
Scale tec.

ill have to look and see. The monitor says weight matrix or something. Not sure but I ordered me a manual for the thing. Looks like its run completely off the monitor.

Do you understand how an electronic scale works? There are three weight bars on the mixer. Each wheel spindle is a bar and the hitch is one. These are a bar with a wire attached down the side of them. The bar bends with weight and the wire measures how much it bends. The monitor or scale box takes those reading and tells you weight. Also the scale will not read correctly if not hooked up to a draw bar hitch. If you try to weight with it on the jack it will read wrong because the hitch bar would not have a load on it.
The scale you have will do several things. You can set it to just weight what you put in and read down as you empty. You can also put in a weight and it will count down to zero and make an alarm go off at zero. The alarm can be a buzzer or a light. You can program batches and a bunch of other stuff. When you get the model number I can go into more detail.

Alright sounds great JDSeller. I'll be some more info. I knew it weighed of the tongue but I didnt know about the spindles. I havent brought it home yet so I havnt got to try it yet. I did notice it has a recipe button and all that. I'll get the model ASAP. Thanks

Its Weightronix Model 1000. The guy told me when I went and picked it up that the scales didnt work. He said they didnt work when he bought it. Well right away I saw that the wires had been ripped. It rewired the harness and hooked 12 volts to it. Went back and hit the on button, not really expecting it to work. But it powered right up. The scales work great. Reads 0000 with nothing on it. I climbed up on the loading shute and the scales went to 0155. Works perfect. And seems very accurate. Im well pleased with it. I got it for $700 cause he thought the scales didnt works and he said it had a bearing out. Well to turned on the augers and heard the banging noise, which I figured was the sound he said was a bad bearing. Come to find out one of the mixing paddles up top was bent and was wacking the support braces on the top. Soo I took it off and shaped it back the way it needed to be. Soo hopefully thats all it was. And not a bearing. Because it sounds real smooth other than the clanking noise that the paddle was making. I took the little panel off at the bottom of the hopper and ran it and let the junk poor out. Any ideas of how to really clean it out good? I was thinking I might pressure was the tub out and leave the little clean out panel off and let it drain. Its caked up from molasses and stuff.

I have shined up several grinder mixers by putting about ten bushels of soybeans in the tank. Then just put you tractor on it and let it run. I have had to let the mixer mix for maybe an hour. Soybeans are very abrasive. They seem to work better than dry shelled corn.
