alignment of timing marks farmall h

The first mark on the crank Pulley is total advance timing. The last mark is TDC. This is as they come past the pointer in the direction that it runs.
CW from the front (as though cranking it with a hand crank) CCW from the drivers point of view. Jim

The factory marks on an H are, the two marks close together, first one to come around in normal direction of rotation is TDC, next one is 5 degrees after TDC. Then there is a lonely mark by it's self which is for greasing the pilot bearing in the flywheel and has no direct meaning for timing. Now the fun begins. When we put fire crater pistons in the tractor we are supposed to mark the pulley at 22 degrees before TDC. And if it was ever on propane it could have other marks added. So, that is my story and I'm sticking too it(like others say on here sometimes).
