OT-enjoying the snow

Instead of growling about all the snow, took a break and went for a ride yesterday. Met up with some of the snowmobile club members and we went on about a 130 mile ride. There were 31 of us. Only 2 did not make it back. One broke down mechanicaly. Other had an accident, lack of experience, but he is ok. I took a couple of pics with my phone. Trails are in great condition and snow is deep when you got off of them! All and all was FUN. SHON

We started our ride just west of Bemidji Minnesota. Made a loop NW to Gonvick. Stopped at Pine Lake for a bite to eat. Then down west of Bagely and back to Bemidji. SHON
 
As a young man I wore out two snowmobiles. Now I have a pretty new one that has not been ridden in two years. I start it and change the fluids so it is ready for emergencies. My hands can"t take the vibration on the handle bars. I have a low miles motorcycle that gets used about the same. It sucks getting older. LOL I would have killed for either of these toys when I was younger.

The old saying about farming and toys is true.

By the time you are old enough to own the good toys you are too old to play with them.

I'll put it to use for you. I'm 22 and wish I could afford a sled of my own right now. But for now I get stuck riding the familys.
