O/T stand alone furnaces up north

ok all you people that take these stand alone furnaces for granted and think of as a necessity which i am sure they are where you are located or you wouldnt have them can someone explain to this coon*ss how dem dere things work and what their primary purpose is and how you use them and how i can benefit from them down here in the south where the water table is about 4 ft deep? what do you use for fuel and how effecient are they and etc... thanks...

Outdoor wood furnace with hot water curculation you mean???

They are not the most efficent things, and they tend to be built kinda t smoke a lot at times, but if you get a better one & install it right they can burn a lot of bigger wood with all the ash, dirt, and fire liability outside instead of in your home, and the nice part is being able to heat 2 or 3 buildings if that is what you need.

You run an insulated pipe between the furnace & building(s) and a heat exchanger or pipe in the concrete floor.

Works good, tho uses a lot of wood.

You talking about geothermal instead, since you mention water table???
