Tractor threw up today....

Tractor drips a drop (glob) now and then from the vent tube by the oil fill spout. Today, things seemed a little sluggish when I was hauling/dumping some poop. I opened it up to get a lunge to dump a load and things seemed better. On the next trip I noticed a big glob of sludge and oil on the ground, no more problems. Should I be worried or just chalk it up to not working it enough?

Yes, diesel. It don't get a lot of stress. Baling hay this past summer was the most it has done. Gonna wash everything down and change the oil next week then and see what gives.

Thanks, Dave

(quoted from post at 21:05:27 02/04/11) Maybe the tractor is not running warm enough

It's not......... there is no thermostat in it. original was shot and I haven't been able to find a replacement.

GET a THERMOSTAT in as sone as you can, change the oil and work it HARD. diesels like it hot hard and clean.
