Ok I'm going to put the power beyond block on the tractor and run the lines under the battery box on the right side of the tractor (looking from the back) to connect to the valve that the wires for the joystick and loader lines connect to. I need the joystick, wires, and valve for this project. What do I need to ask for at the junk yard?? Thanks for all the help guys!!

If they even a joystick loader valve for starters. Joysticks on AG tractors are relatively new so I'm not sure you're going to find what you need at a wrecker, especially a solenoid operated one. There are hyd's. that are way cheaper than the JD dealer though and you don't have to use a solenoid valve or even a joystick if you don't want to or want to save a little money. I'm not a JD expert but I think the hyd's on JD's are closed center. That's real important when choosing a valve to run your loader. It's also good to get a valve with a float position on the lift circuit. This will let you do real nice back blading with the bucket. A good hyd. shop would be your best friend. Dave

You need a joy stick and valve for a 260/265/or a 280 loader. The valve mounts on the loader frame, and the cables run through the access hole in the cab floor. The hoses from the valve to the loader should be on quick connects,so you can remove the loader. You need to run 2 hoses from the power beyond block,as well as a drain line from the valve(depending on what loader you are using) back to the the pipe plug in the rear above the pto shaft.
If you don't have any luck finding this setup, you might try Surplus Center or a hydraulic supplier. You need a CLOSED CENTER 2 spool valve, with float position on 1 spool, with a cable operated joystick, and fittings.
Probably looking at $750-$1000 in parts/fittings and hoses time it's on the tractor.

The joystick off a JD 148/158/168 will work also. For what JD gets for a JS I'd install an aftermarket closed-center valve.

Reid, you can probably go to Surplus Center and get everything you need brand new for less than used will cost you, assuming you can even find it. I put a Prince valve on mine from there and with all the parts it didn't cost me $500 and it works great. Mike

That's very similar to the one I had on my 4240 & then 4255. Only on a SGB one needs to remove the plate that JS is mounted on as it isn't required. It appears from photo someone cut those high dollar cables part # AW27921 CABLE, PUSH-PULL ADD 98.00 USD .

I personally can't see the advantage of spending that much money just to plumb a loader? R54312 MANIFOLD,AUXILIARY OUTLET ADD 235.00 USD

if i am not mistaking jim i am the one that cut them cables it was on a 2755 open station coustmer came to my shop had hung them in a tree limb said he want the control removed he been using his scv. told him he need to replace the cables . what he said after that not repeatable but him being the one paying the bill i cut the bad cable off and removed the control vavle that been couple three years ago and he still usint his scv. hes happiy i am happy.

I've got a lot of cyl, fitting, etc from the surplus center. Man they are cheap and most are made in the USA.
