Big Double Storm

Here in NY they were saying the first storm would give us about 6 inches and the second storm would give us another foot or more
They were saying the storm today was going to be the biggest storm of the year for us.
They were saying 18" and up between the two.
We got 8" from the first storm and 2 " from the "Big One"

We got more than both of these storms combined a few weeks ago in one storm and that one didn't get half the media coverage this one got.

Kinda the same thing here in east central IL. Told us 9-14, got maybe 5. Everything closed, cost a lot of people with businesses a lot of money. I suppose they have to prepare us for the worst, but they do sensationalise it a bit too much. "Reporter" on the news last night was saying the snow was past her ankles, but they showed her standing next to the road where the plows had piled it to about 6-8".

Even with all the technology they have today, predicting the exact path of a storm is still more of an art than a science. Many places were predicted heavy snow but got only minimal amounts. Racine Wisconsin was predicted to get only a few inches and was whopped with nearly 2 feet.

Here in mid Missouri. We got they say 20" to 23" but with a lot of wind. Guess I got the snow blowing at my place. For I can't get my 4x4 out even. The roof of my canopy feel in on my tractor and can't get it out till the snow melts away. For it ment metal and all down on tractor. So have to cut metal poles out and off first.
Even the dogs won't go out side. lol have to laugh about that. They got short legs.. lol
Talk of more snow coming on monday.
