JD 440 Crawler

I usually just set back and watch I find the reading quit interesting. This time I need a little help. A friend has picked up a JD 440 crawler Diesel. the only problem is the final drive is torn apart. Wondering if any one has a parts list and break down for it so we can get it back together. thanks in advance

Some 1010 parts bolt on and beef up the drives.

Yes and some 420 430 parts will fit. Those were good units and if diesel probably a 253 detroit.

I got one of these last fall. Parts book can be down loaded from the JD parts web site. It will answer lots of your ?? Diesel is PC 609, gas is PC 573 and 420-430 is PC505. I got to do a steering clutch sometime. Now working on cooling and hyd pump issues.
