re f -600 moto-r - more advice needed

hi guys // think wefound a Goood pre electronic ignition 361. . it has a holly 4 bareel,, ( runnin 'old Holly guzzlers are scarey IMHO ) i think i can swap my 330 2 barrel(just rebuilt it ) intake and carb and instal on the 361 motor , should bolt rite up , RIGHT ???? if need be will the exhaust manifolds interchange too ... DOES anyone know when was FORDS last year for points /condensor / carb. ???? before going to modern complicated stuff ,.. EFI ,ect . than everyone for your previous input . jh
 
I think 79 was the last year for the points. We have a 79 with points and an 80 with electronic ignition. Manifolds should bolt up OK. I never dealt with a 330 but 361's and 391's are the same.
 
The exhaust and intake will inter change, the main problems you run into is the front crankshaft snout on Med duty have 1 1/2" snout and the heavy duty have 1 3/4" which makes the harmanic balancer and timing cover different. But sounds like your not going to mess with it.
 
My guess is that the deck heights will be different and the manifolds will not interchange.
Look up an aftermarket one for each engine and see if they are the same part numbers.
Just a guess but this is one of the problems I have come up against doing a swap like this...
