There is an auction coming up in my area in a few months that is going to have a Front-Mount Cultivator. It says that it is a John Deere Model 42 Six-Row Front-Mount Cultivator. I know there were Six-Row cultivators made but they are model 60's and the Four-Row Cultivators sare usually the 40 series or 400 series. What do you all think? If there is a John Deere 42 Six-Row Front-Mount Cultivator what did they fit on?
If it would go on the two-cylinder tractors then I will go to the auction and bid on it. Just trying to find out if it is something that I should add to my collection.
Thanks for the help!

I would also be sure that it was not going to be sold in pieces... I have gone to auctions in which that has happened a number of times. Have to admit that usually more money goes to seller this way, but seems that the advertising is a bit misleading.

We had a 6 row , ft. mount on a 4010 with a wide frt. for yrs , do not remember the model , but it was a very heavy clutivator . was a very good rig. Easy to mount and demount.

When the item is rare/scarse,all bets are off when it comes to price.if you need it you haveto whats nessary to get the"job done".even if it means paying too much.
