Some warm weather pics from today

I thourght i would share these as some of you are proberbly sick of looking at snow. Temprature was 37 degres and not a cloud in the sky perfect day to cut some lucern. This is only the second cut normaly in an average year we would be up to the 3rd or 4th by now but because of all the rain we have been geting we havent been able to get on the paddocks till now. This was our best paddock with the stand only being couple years old but a lot has drownd. Lest its better than one of the other paddocks that has Tree branches and fencing wire through it from the floods we had here at christmas time.

Please pardon my ignorance, but I would have to assume a paddock would be a field, and if so is it of a specific acreage, or any size field?

Sure wish we were having some rough days like that here. You have some beautiful property "Down Under"! Thanks for sharing.

In your terms yes its Alfalfa we call it lucern. A paddock ussualy means some dirt doesnt seem to matter if its cropped or grass or if its got a fence round it or not or what acreage there is in it. Most paddocks here on our home farm are about 20ac. they where good size when we used to strip feed the dairy cows bout now they mostly get silage

37 X 9 divided by 5 plus 32 = 98.6 Farenheit. Did I get it right?

Gotta admit, seeing those nice sunny pics did brighten up my day a bit.

Oh can I come to Australia just to watch you swath that GREEN hay on a nice WARM day? Pease, please, please? Jim, from the Iowa deep freeze.

Looked warm there today, I saw the doctor being interviewed on the news in Sydney who was treating Jimmy Buffet. Looked beutiful weather. He had to been stoned to walk off that stage like he did.

Yup, alfalfa. Don't ask me how to pronounce it in Pashto

From Wikipedia:

Alfalfa (pronounced /ælˈfælfə/) (Medicago sativa) is a flowering plant in the pea family Fabaceae cultivated as an important forage crop. In the UK, Australia, South Africa and New Zealand, it is also known as lucerne, and as lucerne grass in south Asia. In Hindi, it is known as chara (चारा), as (دشقه) in Pashto, and in Gujarati as rajka or gadab.

Snow off and on for the last 6 days in NE Illinois and below freezing for a couple of weeks. Have ice under the snow. See the Queensland area was under water and possible damn problems? Up to the eves on the houses in the pictures I saw. River flooding is full of trash and the fences are pushed over at and angle in the mid west states. Have a picture of an unstyled A under water with the stack making a wake in the water summer of 93 in Iowa. Tractor running today.

Snowed most of the day here with 3 or so inches on the ground. Not enough snow to push just drive over it in 4wd when needed. Live on a hill.

fortunately there was a Dr. in the front row but doubtful whether he could have done anything apart from make him comfortable. He said he [Buf]was unconscious, after he landed, his head came back and hit a stand .

40c [104F] on Sunday and possibly Monday.
