Well My T.v remote gave up the ghost (or almost) until Victor took and old one apart and used the pucks from the old one and super glued em to the ones that were wore out. Works Slick. Now Because we have the cheap package from DTV ,and it's still bitter cold out side, My Son says"DAD, Time for a new one" With a new package from DTV giving us all movie channels for keeping my sanity till spring. So he got in the truck and went and got a VIZIO,
Read up on em and they seem good from all customers reports, and it had hd so we can have a new remote box/new LNB,Movie channel is good for 3 months,so I may avoid the funny looking long sleeve jacket that the arms tie in the back /with buckles. The T.V is a vizio class razor 26",lcd led hdtv now my question for you guys is (we have a 90 day return policy) do you have one like/similar ? we purchased a 2year extension policy with it.I want to be able to watch BIG JOES POLKA BAND ON RFD TV. Ha Ha Ha YEa right!!!!!! Seriously I do watch RFD when the tractors shows come on. And NO I havn't got fond of Boot kickin foor stompin and such. I would appreciate and would consider your opinion on the t.v only. Regards , LOU

TV's, especially them new purty picture ones with remotes give off a signal that causes obesity and a craving for popcorn and tatorchips. Not to mention the beer and pop.............. Ain't you got some tractors to polish???? Maybe rig up a couple bicycle powered generators to hook the TV up to so you can reverse the obesity effect

For your shop heat, try googling the Herman Nelson tent heaters (throw military in there) and see what you think. Maybe you can find something surplus or since you two are crafty, maybe you can look at some pics and figure out how to use your existing heater in that setup.

Dave, Got all of the symptoms you described of the T.V.projections.(except the beer),and you know I already carry a large frame .From a prior life. lol
Never thought about a military heater project. Gonna look into that today. The garage will be used as soon as the zero temps leave. Hopefully next month. Thanks for the TIPS!! regards LOU.

Trying to keep an even disposition while waiting on spring. Couch Potato?I sure hope not although I'm now SEVERELY LIMITED IN MOBILITY thanks to the health issues and 75 years of hard living. Not complaining mind ya, just stating fact. My SON is a decent and caring soul and he too is waiting for spring. Lots to do. Building, Bobcat adjustment, Crawler work. Etc. Was wondering if in fact the T.V was a good one being used by the posters. I could get a good hand information as to the reliability of that make from them. Any way Thanks for Caring.
Regards ,LOU .

Wouldn't worry a lot about the quality of the TV since you got the extra gaurantee. If you have more than a couple power outages, you might consider a surge protector on the cords for TV and computer equipment (or anything highdollar electronic) And some kind of lightning protection for cable/antenna hookup. Cheap insurance.

I have a friend who used to have a TV repair shop. He said that when prices on a new set were less than a repair, his business went in the crapper real quick! I asked him about what brands to buy quite often. He said that if it does not have any mechanical stuff (VCR, DVD, CD) than any brand is OK. When the item has mechanicals to it, it is very important to buy a name brand, as parts may not even be available for the lesser names.

Vizio is supposed to be one of the better low priced flat screens out there. Have no first hand knowledge as we decided to put of a purchase untill the good TV craps out.

We have two Vizio TVs in our RV. A 32" and a 22". We bought the smaller one to replace the original old TV as it is lighter and thinner and gave us more storage room. It also gave us HD TV from our antenna. We decided that since we are staying in our RV a lot we would get a larger one for in the front and put the small one in the bedroom. They both work perfectly even though we do not have these mounted and just lay them down when we travel. Also there is a lot of temperature changes when we are not using the RV. I would buy one again if needed.

Hope the little woman dont throw objects at it during the Super Bowl???? See ya at Flywheelers Feb 22 if not before. You have the same spot??? Keep a cord handy for golf cart charging if okay.

dave2,
Is this one of those Hermon Nelson tent heaters that you are talking about? It looks like it will run on gasoline.

Lou, sorry to say but "Big Joe's Polka Show is gone and most likly won't be back! I talked to his wife last week and she said he's working with two new networks to produce a new show....jim in N M

Dave, Looked at the Yukon 500 No way to add a blower unit without double casing it.Could use a fan but it would take as much time (or More) then a regular fuel oil furnace. Sure liked the big Yellow job (smokeless-fume free) But I could build a brand new tri level house w/ swimming pool-movie stars for what the company that makes em ask for .lol. Thanks Again for the direction.I still think the oil co put diesel in the kerosene holding tank.
I put nothing past em. for a cheap buck. LOU.

We have two Vizio TV'S, a 27" and 37". The 37" is just 1 year old now and we liked it so much that we bought a 27" for the RV. If we had to do it again, we would go with a 42" instead of the 37". We have a small living room and we thought that the 42" would have been to big, but it would have been alright! Both tv's are working great and nice picture on regular antenna and hd DTV. I like the fact that the speakers are in the front of the tv.
Would buy a Vizio again!
