Degreaser

I Prefere just K-1 kerosene, it really loosens that old Grease, and washes off really well with Water, especially pressure washing.... and Leaves NO Residue at all,I usually apply liberally and let set overnite. Larry
 
Give Castrol Purple Degreaser a try. Works pretty good for me. Won't take off paint like oven cleaner will. Also safe on aluminum, which oven cleaner definitely is NOT.
 
Tractor Supply sells cleaning solvent in 5 gallon pails, works good and doesn"t smell too bad. Used to use mineral spirits, but when it gets a little old it smells terrible, this stuff doesn"t. If I"m going to paint the part I rinse with a quick shot of brake parts cleaner and blow dry, primer sticks good.
 
Hey Red. You shouldn't have had your nose so close that the oven cleaner burnt the eyes. WE haven't had that experience in over 40 different times

well here on the oil rigs we us biosol 610 . use it on my tractors and it works. around $100.00 for 5 gal pail. there is another brand called citrosol and it smells like oranges.that one should make you want to clean your tractor.
 
Flowaway from Kano Products - same company that makes Kroil penetrant. I buy it in 5 gallon pails.
