John Deere 246 planter parts

I have a JD 246 planter. I know every one else uses at least a 290 but poor folk have poor ways.
The fertilizer hopper (AY794B) and drop tube (AH363B) on on side finally finished rusting thru and fell off today when I was getting it ready for spring. Then to make lousy day even worse the disc opener for the fert. bearing was seized up and the bracket that bolts it to the seed runner broke as I tried to remove the disc and bearing. Anyone out there know where I could find these parts? I could replace disc opener with the reg fert. boot if I could find one.

Why think that away,246s were far better planters then 290s ever were. Now as far as your problems, look for used-takeoffs or junked JD-INT-Case-White 4-6-8-12 row planter units with plastic boxes that are 2 rows wide. There were a lot of planters converted from dry to liquid in the 80s-90s and the dry stuff is still laying around(some never used).I have sold or given away several units in the last 10-20yrs.I still have a few boxes, but ????on what else is left.

Thanks, I'll look around for some. My problem is that around here it more hay and cattle country. Hardly anyone row crops. The old residenters died and the younger guys work at jobs off the farm and only want to do cattle.
