Its -5F outside my backdoor here at Farmington. The sky is clear and the winds are totally still. Its going to be a little chilly doing chores but it could be alot worse! Hope you all stay warm this morning as you are out and about. Wrigley and I will be doing our best to keep warm.

Here in Duluth, MN it is -24 degrees and -41 windchill at 6:30 this morning... It is suppose to get up to -2 today....

A big surprise in NE Montana this morning. After being near or below zero all week it is 30 above today at 5 AM.

I'm showing -5 in Terre Haute. This is the first time in 20 years that my garage door opener couldn't lift the doors, they were frozen to the floor. Used a shovel and pryed them up. I keep my garage at 55 and open the windows a crack to help dry the floors. Had a lot of snow brought in yesterday.

I had -29 this morning down in the valley where my shop is located. Fortunately the hill blocks out most of the North wind.

Must have been colder than -10F as the water isn't running. Forgot to plug in the 75 watt lightbulb that I have near the entrance of the pipe from the well.

We had +3 at seven o'clock this morning, here in the NW corner of Ohio. The temp isn't so bad but the wind will go through a couple of layers of clothes.

None of the pigs got up this morning, they chose to stay snuggled up to each other. One of the old style waterers had a skin of ice but everyhting else was good.

The chickens don't seem to even realize it's cold. One of them was sitting on an egg that was ice cold though.... that had to be uncomfortable.

Feels good to be back inside, I think I'll spend the next couple of hours right here in the warm glow of the computer screen.

-21 at 9a.m. in Ladysmith, WI this morning, was -26 when I got up at 5:30. at least there's no wind to speak of.

Gordo - have you tried one of those Thermocubes? They cost about $12, and turn on your light when the temp gets around 35 degrees. Farm stores sell them.

I use several around here. They are so reliable that I forget to check to see if the bulb is still good. And you can imagine how I find out it isn't.

Hi, Tim. It was cold this morning, but not as bad as what some of these guys are talking about. It's definately hard on the propane usage.
I'm in Montpelier. You anywhere close to me?
