tractor snow plow

:?: :?: I use a Farmall h for snow plowing. I has a 6 1/2 foot streight blade and it takes some time to plow. I'm looking for some ideas on what tractor would be easy on fuel that i could but a 7 1/2 foot angle or v plow on?
thanks howard

An H is a pretty fuel efficient tractor. Unless you
go to a diesel and that opens a whole new can of
worms. It will be spring pretty soon.

I have an H with a bucket loader, and a professionally built V plow to replace the bucket on the loader.

I haven't used it in 10 years. I bought an old beater 4X4 Chevy pickup and put a power angle plow on it. I can do in an hour what would take all day with the H. Plus it's a whole lot more comfortable inside a warm pickup cab.

Is your blade on a loader or on the back on a 3 point type of thing. If you have a loader build a V plow like I did years ago and with that tractor you should be able to handle one as wide as the one I have which is 8.5 foot wide. One pass and you have the driveway wide enough for any car or truck

If you can find a copy of last months Oliver Heritage Magazine at TSC or something, check out the Oliver Super 88 and 880 tractors in there that they're using for plow tractors. Pretty impressive.
