I hope the mods are thinking about adding a place for OT. Tractor Talk has more OT than tractor related stuff.

So???? As has been said before, tractor people don"t live in a vacuum. They are generally aware of other things that are going on out there.

I don't understand "OT". I know that it stands for off topic but why put it there? Anyone who frequents the site knows that tractor talk is the "lead" forum that most participants go to first and most frequently, and that it is most appropriate for topics that don't come under one of the other more specific ones. Most of us share common interests in life and it is beneficial to us in many ways to share information, so I see no need to apologizing for it not being about tractors. I have learned a lot, of great value, about many subjects on this forum, from the experience of others, saving me from wasting time, money, and effort. I do not open many topics that appear from their title to not interest me. After browsing through tractor talk, I then go on to my forums of specific brand or interest. No big deal. No need for any more editing of posts.

The site owners thought that was a good idea so they set up a forum for off topic stuff and it quickly turned into a political fisticuffs board to such an extent that "Yesterdays Tractors" became recognized as a political forum and people who had absolutely no interest in farming or tractors practically lived there. The owners shut it down on New Year's eve several years ago and swore that it would never happen again. (chuck430c hasn't been heard from since) (;>))

Well, when we go down and sit around the stove and drink coffee and converse it is usually about the news that we feel affects us and how we feel it's going to affect us by how previous things have affected us. So why don't we just call this place the feed store or the cafe? I think if it's kept peaceful and informative and uplifting, there wont be any problems. LarryT

LOL I like that one!!

Ya mean there is another life with including tractors.

I don't see no problem filling unused brain cells with some other form of knowledge either.

Hop on over to tractor Tales. No tractor talk there AT ALL.
Not a criticism, lots of fun over there, just telling you there's a place with less tractor talk.

Well this time of year what else is there from the most part we do not use the tractors very much other then to move a bale of hay or plow the snow off the driveway so there is not much to talk about when it comes to tractors. To tell the truth I would have to walk out to the shed to even know 100% sure that I have any tractors in it because I have not been out there in a week or 2

Hi folks, I have leart a lot from your way of life and find it very intresting by reading the OT posts. Keep up the good work. MJ

(quoted from post at 11:02:54 01/14/11) Sure --- could be --- they don't know the difference between
Off Topic or On Topic ....

Behave yourself joey..... I still got a couple of pics of you.....

Dave

OT might not be the ideal subject but they are very educational I think. If we can keep politics and religious arguments out. Now without OT how would we be able to listen to Allan's music.
