Suugery was unevevtful, and fast.Doc said the cataract was huge, but no problem. Now the chalenge is to keep her quiet!Maybe a cat(OR TWO) on her lap will do the trick!

Wife had that surgery last week and is doing well. Tell her to follow doctors instructions, eye will feel scratchy for a day or so and she needs to keep up with eye drops.

great to hear that !!
One thing now though she will be able to see you better now-- hope she still thinks your good lookin ---LOL

My Great uncle had it done twenty years ago. When I took him to get his bandages off the next day after the surgery he was shocked to see he was wearing a light blue shirt not brown like he thought. He had both eye done in about six weeks. He could read the paper again with out his glasses in sunlight. Lasted until he died in 2006.

Wish the wife well. She should do well. Just make sure she follows the Doc orders on recovery.

Deltared, I wish your wife the best. I was diagnosed with the early stages of cataracts this year at my annual physical and I'm only 46 years old. Must be because I have lived a hard life being in the military and having PRK to correct my vision.

Hi Red,

Glad to hear she's doing great. Got mine done a couple years ago and what a difference it made as I was totally blind in one eye.

I've been on Redlands Mesa a few times :)
