It is 1:30 a.m., and first off, thank you to all who so graciously offered prayers for my uncle, and the rest of the family yesterday afternoon. As soon as we finished the farm chores, my whole family drove the 2hrs. to North Memorial Hospital so my mom could be with her sister at this time. (It's only the two girls on that side of the family.) My parents are staying at the hospital with my aunt and her two children, along with our minister. At this point the Dr.'s are saying less than 50% chance he will survive, and if he does, they are quite sure there will be long term effects, just don't know how severe they would be. It is a waiting game. If he survives the next 48hrs, his odds will improve quite a bit. He is the strongest 65 year old man I know, and he is a fighter through and through. I just hope it is God's will that he has more time to spend here with his family. He has 5 grandchildren under the age of 5 yrs who think the world of their grandpa, and also my two daughters whom he treats as grandchildren. They all deserve to have him see them grow up. However, if God has other plans, I know without a shadow of a doubt where he will be spending eternity.
Again, my deepest appreciation, and I hope I can print out all the kind words mentioned earlier and have him read them for himself very soon. You'd all like him very much. Wouldn't find a nicer guy anywhere and he'd give the shirt off his back to help someone in need. Continued prayers would mean so much to the whole family during this trying situation.
Thanks Friends, Aaron
