Just have to question this one

Why would a person that has been dealing with JD tractors for many years try to slide one off on someone?
Who that has seen many of these does not know the difference in "original" paint versus an old repaint? None of the yellow from the factory was paint, it was silk screen decal. None of the factory 30 series had slanted letters, they were bold letters.
Who that has seen many of these would not know a Row Crop tractor with the wrong standard wide front on it versus a true standard tractor?
Is this asking too much for someone that buys and sells to actually know what is what?
And the asking price for a cobbled together repainted worn out 730D is way over the top.

just because he has been dealing in them doesn't mean he knows anything. I'm into farmalls mostly and you wouldn't beleive how many people either don't know there product or just don't care as long as it sells.

I don't think hard times excuses people from lying, misrepresenting tractors, etc.
If someone who needed the money broke in to your home and stole a bunch of stuff, would you just shrugg it off, not even contact the law or try to get insurance money?

It's a JD 730D with incorrect paint and lettering, the guy can ask whatever he wants. I don't see a problem unless he claims to have done repairs that weren't done or something like that.

So false advertising and statements are OK with you? No wonder the next generation is having a hard time.
He is claiming to have a rare original paint low production tractor, knowing full well that it is not.

Anytime one buys a 30 + year old tractor you would think they would not take any statement the seller makes very serious. What is it they say what you see is what you get..
