moisture in my acetylene lines/gauges

i have a set ot cutting torches on my service truck this fall i noticed moisture coming out of the acetylene everytime i fire it up the tank was never laid on its side been upright on my truck for about 5 months.now that its below freezing outside its freezing up in my gauges and hose never noticed this to happen ever before.anyone ever had this happen.

How cold is it and was size is your cylinder? I think a buddy of mine has had the same type of problem in cold weather because just like propane, acetylene can freeze up if it gets cold enough. Drawing it out of the cylinder can make it freeze easier. Your cylinder supplier would know for sure. Dave
 
i think i agree with greenbean i been using torches for 35 years and i have never seen this happen befor ever.

I have had that happen at least a half doxzen time in my life. I have no idea of the correct way, but just crank up the pressure, and then snap the valve open a few times real fast.

Mine usualy makes a real lout cracking sound when the moisture is bouncing around.

I have never returned a tank, but I suppose it's a option.
 
I think you get some tanks that get some moisture in them when they where filled. I get one every now and then. You can really notice it when using a smaller heating tip to braze with. It will put the flame out and then blow water on your metal.
