Anyone use or heard of FASS Diesel Fuel System??

I watched a Prairie Farm Report show on TV last night and this man in Canada stated it removed the enough air from a diesel system on A Versatile tractor and a truck to give enough more HP to be noticeable.

Kit contains an extra filter(which he stated was a hyd filter) and a pump to remove air.

I'm under the impression that if lines/filters have no air leaks and air is bleed out at bleeders when bleeding is done on filter change that no air will make it to inj pump. Am I incorrect in my thinking? Thanks, jim

I have heard of them and there is a nationwide known reputable truck shop called Pittsburgh Power that claims they work. Small air bubbles will still be trapped in the fuel. Not sure what kinda difference it makes though.

I recall back when I was a boy, some outfit was selling a 1/2" thick block that fit under the carb on cars.

Thing had two little propellers that would spin with the moving air that was going thru the carb. Ad stated that it "Atomizes the fuel mixture for an instant increase in power".

I often wondered how many bottles of that snake oil they sold. :>)

Got a freind who bought one of those, fuel injection model went in the aircleaner. Says his 92 suburban gets 22 mpg on the highway!!

Trying to figure out why Chevy didn't have them on every vehicle? LOL

The FASS system is not a snake oil by any means! The system works very well to remove air in the fuel and on my 01 Powerstroke it quited it down alot. Did I see any power gains, maybe, but none I noticed. Fuel mieage increases, maybe a tad, but again not enough to notice. The biggest benefit I saw from it was the fact it made my Powerstroke almost a quiet as my Duramax.

Mornin' John,

Gotta give ya that one on merit alone. Air in the system does make 'em "rap", no doubt about it.

Not "snake oil" at all. We put one of thier replacement transfer pumps on one of our Dodge diesels. No wild snake oil claims were made. No miracles occurred. The origanal pump was worn out & we chose Fass as a replacement. The guy we got it from does pump / injctor work as a business and recomends Fass for OEM replacemment. They have a website, go take a look. No I'm in no way associated with either them or thier dealer ! Ken

All good mechanics know that the secret to increased gas milage is greasing the muffler bearing. It is the most restrictive device on your vehicle. For a limited time only, you can purchase the new and improved "Polysynthetic Mono Grade MB-1 Muffler Bearing Grease" to get better gas mileage. Reports of 30, 40, 50, 60, 70 MPG and more on just one application are common. One customer used just half a tube on a V-8 semi logging truck and still got an increased MPG!
It sells for ONLY $29.95 per tube (plus shipping & handling of $36.50). But if you call in the next 10 minutes, you will get two for the price of one (plus additional shipping & handling of $36.50). We do this through our marketing budget to help get the word out about this miraculous secret gas mileage enhancing space age product.
As an added bonus, if you promise to tell two of your closest friends about our product, we will include two more tubes free of charge, just pay two more shipping and handling charges of $36.50.
But wait, that's not all! If you order in the next 5 minutes we will include absolutely free (plus shipping & handling of $36.50) the mileage enhancing "Carb Turbo". Works just like the jet engines on commercial airliners. You know how fuel efficient they are, and we have taken this technology and designed it to fit your vehicle.
ORDER NOW!! Supplies limited!! Phone lines are very busy so use our web site for faster ordering!! Hurry, you only have a few more minutes!!

It is truly sad that we have so many gullible and misinformed adults in this country.

I have installed several of them in pickups. No miracle . I suspect they do not aerate the fuel as much as other transfer pumps . I doubt they "remove air" .

I wasn't referring to a lift pump but another type Fass pump that removes air from the diesel fuel prior to going into inj pump and supposedly increases HP.

It is not the pump that removes air. The pump just replaces your stock lift pump. The system usually has 2 filters. One is a water separator and the other is suppose to remove small microns of air.
The air in the system comes from fuel slouching around in the tank.

While it is not a snake oil system you may not notice enough of a difference to justify the cost but like one poster said below it should help if you have noise issues.

This is just a side note,

However, I have seen a HUGE increase in POWER, FUEL EFFECIENCY, and just plain overall vehicle operating enjoyment immediately after washing my truck. Even moreso when I break down and scrub the inside too.

Downside is that it only works on Fords. This is because they are soooooo darned ugly when thry're dirty. :>)

Yes they do work. But to the lay man with a stock truck will not see much or any HP gains . As others said it will make a difference in sound and mileage. Now go to any of these hot rod pickups running 400 HP or more they have one of these or equivelent on every one. I will be looking for one to put on my BIG truck. I'm looking for the allmighty mpg. PRETTY SAD WHEN YOU GET ALL EXCITED ABOUT 1/10 OF A MPG.

Im afraid that few here are going to beleive it accually works to remove the air from the fuel, or are too lazy to accually look it up on the net, or have never owned anything diesel powered. I guess they are somewhat skeptical of anything with as much junk has been marketed to improve mileage, etc.
Fass Fuel

I watched the same show. I know nothing about diesel engines, but I thought the increase came from an extra fuel line to feed both ends of the fuel rail. I understood the FASS just made a cleaner engine. I may be completely wrong.

I have installed several of these systems on trucks usually with other enhancements(twin turbos and boxes). I looked at their sight I did not know that they clamed they removed air but I did not they supply more fuel to the pump. they circulate fuel back at the tank and then use a larger supply line to the pump to supply more fuel. It is not a cheap set up but I have not seen any issues with the system.

Hmm, use your imagination to supply a past tense word for the F, add an "in the" and quickly pronounce the word the last three letters make. You will then have a glimmering of what Fass will do for you.

This graphic from their website CLEARLY shows how they work!

I have an Air Dog ,but they are about the same thing as a FASS.Must have for a high hp pickup, stock will not give you enough fuel plus you have better filltration. It aint cheap to be cool.

You state CLEARLY but I don't see how the 2nd filter CLEARLY removes the air and vapor. A lot of diesel fuel engines have 2 fuel filters.

You're correct about the extra fuel line. But I didn't understand how that worked either. Maybe someone will explain.
