They must snag one every so often, or they wouldn't keep sending them...
It is curious (well, not really)that there seems to be no trouble hounding Wikileaks off most servers, but they seem to be completely powerless to do anything about these...

I have a separate e- mail account for these and I like to waste their time negotiating with then, thinking they have snaged a live one and taking up the time that they would use to send out more (yes, I am easily amused). On scams like this I demand a much higher percentage, then give them their walking papers when they don't comply.

Single older women are the big target of the Guana scam.

Some people must still get suckered in to these, or they would go away.

I heard the best idea yesterday on the radio I have heard for a long time. That is to charge 1 cent for every email sent out.

I think that is an excellent idea. It would basically shut the spammers down cold, but legitimate emails wouldn't be affected much if at all.

The people you do business with on a regular basis aren't going to worry about spending even several hundred dollars a day at 1 cent per email. Places like Amazon.com, etc.

You are right about that if there are no controls in place.

Need to limit any increase to the rate of inflation only.

The collected money should NOT go to the government directly. I am thinking maybe a fund collected by your internet supplier to provide needed equipment for our law and fire departments on a grant request basis. DOUG

This is why I seldom have sympathy for any so called victims of these scams -- this one asks people to help steal from his employer, most other scams appeal to greed and that is why they still hook a few fish.

With discounts for Bulk. It never stopped junk mail at the post office so why would postage fees stop junk mail on the web? let's not EVEN go there.

It is probably your foreign aid anyway..

E-mail it to the Eco Bank for a laugh. They exist in that West Africa region..
