Thousands of birds and thousands of fish die a day apart in the same state?? Weird. Just saw it on the news. Just a coincidence I doubt. Some thing happened. Could be anything, but something happened.

Birds and fish heard the news that former state first lady nnalert might be running for President. And that Bill would be First Gentleman in charge of interns and cigars.

It was just too much for them, and many were overwhelmed.

According to the news article I read, all the birds were the same kind (redwing blackbirds). The fish kill, 125 miles away were the same kind, (Drum). I guess it is feasible that all the birds in the area were the same, but I find it real hard to believe that the only fish in the river were Drum. It will be interesting to hear what they blame it on. If we hear anything at all.

I watched a documentary on one of the Discovery channels last night focusing on deadly species of the sea. They spent some time on an unpresidented population explosion of a species of jellyfish. This species was showing up even on north east beaches and in fresh water lakes, and was begining to affect all forms of aquatic life, and humans. I can't quite make the connection with the black birds unless they some how they had contact with the jellyfish in the marshes that they both may habitat. This theroy is pure speculation based on what I observed in the documentary. Eventually the truth will evolve.It could simply be chemical polution from manufacturing or farming operations.

News report tonite suggested the birds died of trama. Need to do more research. Maybe a nearby lightning strike? Probably not related to fish kill which apparently happened in a different time frame.

If there had been any other news this would never have been reported. It's really not that uncommon, there were a bunch of geese fell from the sky here about 5 years ago. I don't know about the fish but I've seen coons die off in large numbers in just a couple of days. Once again the media is blowing it out of proportion.

Man the rumors are flying on the news about this. I heard today that they think it was trauma from fireworks displays. Next thing you know it will be because of global warming. LOL

I think it was just their time to go. I heard a story that took place in the olden days. As it goes this inquisitive guy met up with a Pilgrim and said to him "I understand you folks believe in predestination. When your time comes to die, you die". Pilgrim said "Thats right". "How come you carry that musket on you sholder" feller said. Pilgrim said "Might meet an Indian whose time has come".
