I am not here to stir up a stink ok.
But I was reading the Madison county iowa news paper on gun controll;

What I read will blow your mind:
1. it is ok to drink and carry a gun in a bar if the person carring the gun dose not get
intoxicae'd.RIGHT RIGHT
I can see where this is going, it all so went on to read that the store owners do not want people to carry in there stores, and that if a person has a cwp they can carrie openly.
I am thinking that all of these people need to use common sence and if they do carry ,carry it conseald and out of sight and dont broad cast that you are carring.MG Where is there brains

I live in Michigan and have my CPL (concealed pistol license) and openly carry quite often for many reasons.

1. It is much easier to open carry as I don't have to be worried about the butt of my pistol showing or heck even the outline of it showing and causing a ruckus. (except in the winter when a winter coat will cover just about everything)

2. Having my CPL and openly carrying allows me to carry in places that I can not carry concealed.

3. It is more comfortable, as the gun doesn't to be up so high on my hip.

4. It is an education piece letting people know open carry is legal. The vast majority don't notice or care.

5. Many will say that carrying openly can help detour crime as it is making your intent/presence known (police carry openly for a reason...)


If a store doesn't allow me to carry there then I find someplace else to shop even if i have to drive a much greater distance.
 
I've got quite a few thoughts on this subject, but to make it short, I always heard:
Gun control is when you hit what you're aimin for. :D
 
Since the first of January in AZ you can now purchase fireworks. You can't have or set off anything that explodes in the air.

So, now you can go almost anywhere with a fire arm but can't have a roman candle.
 
I once had a cop tell me that he doesn't worry about the guns he can see (open carry), it's the ones he can't see that bother him.
