OT: Follow Up-Sick Uncle in Virginia---kinda long

Wanted to let everyone know that the hospital IV's worked on my Uncle, and the infection did NOT get into his bones/blood. His feet/lower legs look BAD, but with me coordinating and help of neighbors he got to come home on Christmas Eve! If he follows out-patient instructions, he'll probably keep his feet/legs.
We all got a ground level entrance set up, he's got nurses stoppin by every day. Neighbors still helpin him out. I had to get back here to IL, just got here a couple hours ago.
May have to do some more from here, and planning on going back out as soon as I can, but will be at least a couple months.
Somebody was lookin out for him.
He's pretty honory too, maybe that helped.
I think he's finally realizing he needs to start selling off some of his trucks and equipment. He is no longer able to maintain them.
I debated driving the 1952 Quick-Way 55,000 pound crane back home. Probably get back by spring, after receiving all proper permits, lol.
At any rate, I hope the luck with his health holds out.
As I continue working with him, I may post a list of what he has and prices, if he's reasonable on the selling prices.
Some of you all may be interested.
Just ridin' in a car to the local VA tears me up, I'm pretty sore and exhausted, so I will sign off for now.
Thanks for everyone's help and concern on the previous post.
God Bless.
Dan

Hi Dan,

Got your emails, glad everything's working out. We bugged out early Sunday as there was an additional 5-9" of snow predicted. Lot of snow for Williamsburg.

That crane's not gonna fit into a container very well, but just yesterday I bumped into yet another outfit here shipping old tractors overseas. This time it was to Egypt, 500 pieces shipped so far, more in line. My old Cat trackloader now lives in Peru, sold to a guy in northern Virginia who's been doing a lot of shipping to Peru. Same guy wants to talk about my drilling rig when I'm finished with it next summer.

This is a good time to be selling large old construction equipment. Let me know if/when your uncle is interested in selling. These folks want operational, but old (cheap). Leaky is fine.

Great that you were able to get your uncle situated comfortably. Congratulations. Yell if I can help.

VaTom--
I measured several spots around his place when it quit snowing.
8 1/2 inches total--came up the same everywhere I measured.
I left Tuesday morning, Interstates were ok by then.
Back roads still pretty hairy.

I'll get hold of my Uncle, and I'll email you again to get some contact info.
I'm pretty sure he's ready to get off of the crane.
Thanks again, Dan
