ARP snow blower

I have a 6 foot ARP flail snow blower in good shape I want to sell. Does anyone know what the value is for this unit? I read once it could be used on up to 100 horse power tractor. It can be hooked up to catagory 1 or 2 hitch and will handle 15" of snow with my 35 horse tractor.

Some were sold around here,in CNY, but didn't work well. They were no better than a back blade. Snow packed and "bridged" in the V before they could get to the blower housing.

I just sold one, here in MD, Paid $100, sold, $350. Best description of an ARPS snowblower is, it operates kinda like a blender, with the lid off! Leave the last 2" of snow, and it operates OK, if you like wearin snow down your neck!

You did not mention your location, I will take as many of those unusable snow blowers I can afford.

They work good if you understand how to use them, as the post below.

I also have a 8 ft cut double auger unit, and it is no doubt better, but they are lots more money as a general rule.

Many go for a hundred dollars around here, but I'm never at the sale, or hear about them till it is to late.

Thanks for your reply. This one will throw snow 40 ft and if the chute is directed away will not get down my neck unless the wind is blowing.

In eastern Washington our snow is mostly dry so this works well here. It will attack and eat hard, crusty, icy snow very well. It will plug up if the snow is wet. Thanks for your comment.
