Quick loaders on and off the tractor

Which tractor/loader combinations (new or old) are the quickest and easiest to attach to and take off of the tractor? How long does it take? I have experience with quick tach buckets, spears, etc. but I am wondering about taking the entire loader on and off.

My neighbor has a compact 4520 John Deere, he takes the loader off to mow the yard, then puts it back on when SHE is finished mowing, a small price to pay! I think he can do it in less than 5 minutes. I have a WD45 Allis with a Allis trip bucket loader and I can put it on without wrenches in 10 minutes. I leave the cylinders on the tractor.

I've got a Westendorf custom contour loader on a CaseIH cx-100. I bought it new and it took about a half day to mount the frame on the tractor but now I can put loader on in about 2 min. and off in about a min and a half. Really well thought out by engineers.

Bought a new Westendorf WL-27 for our International tractors a couple of years ago. Can change the brackets between the 686 IH and the 886 IH in less than an hour. If you just want to put the loader on or off the tractor that currently has the mounts on it, it is a less than 2 minute job. I am very happy with the quality of the loader and the ease of the quick tach. It has a quick tack bucket and bale spear, and it is very quick and easy to switch between attachments. I'd buy another one in a heartbeat.

Farmhand, Westendorf, and John Deere are the ones that I am familiar with and they all take between 1 and 5 minutes to take on and off. Deere has a quick coupler for the hydraulics now that is one lever to connect all the lines.

I have a Westendorf TA 26 on my Ford 4600, and agree with you about the time required, quality, and buying another.

I have a 1720 Ford with a Ford 770 loader.

To remove it you remove one bolt on each mounting bracket just in front of the operator platform. After removing the two bolts you use the hydraulics to tilt it and back away from it. You then uncouple the four hydraulic lines.

Maybe two minutes for removal as I generally use an adjustable end wrench to remove the bolts instead of a socket and ratchet.

To attach drive close to the unit and reconnect the four hydraulic lines. Drive forward and use the hydraulics to tilt the frame until it catches on the guides. Continue tilting and driving forward until the loader is back in position and then secure it with the two bolts.

Takes longer to put on than take off as I always thoroughly clean the hydraulic fittings. They are color coded for easy match up.

Less than five minutes back on, perhaps really 2-3 if I haven"t gotten the fittings dirty.

Any of the late model KUBOTA loader tractor set up can be removed very quick without any tools.

I have a JD 2130 with an Allied 595. The loader goes on or off in about 5 minutes. You set the stands down by pulling and reinserting 2 pins and loosen 2 1 5/16 bolts, undo the four hose quick couplers, and back out. The loader is about 15 yrs old. I like it fine, but some of the new ones are even better. I also have a Kubota M4500DT with a KMW loader that is supposed to be quick attach. The stands don't stay with the loader, so you have to fetch them from wherever they are stored. Also they fit loosely on the loader so that the loader can move side to side alot, enough to damage the tractor. I usually end up holding the Kubota loader in place with the John deere and chains so I can get the Kubota disentangled from it's loader. Needless to say, it only comes off when I have to fix the tractor, which is way too often. It was also built without quick attach bucket, which I think is retarded. I switch from bucket to bale spear and back sometimes 4 or 5 times a day depending on how many pens I need to feed in. I had a neighbour change it to the same system as the allied loader so I can switch buckets and manure and bale forks between tractors.

John deere loaders are very easy to take off. Take the stands out of the loader frame that are held in with snap rings, Insert them into loader frame with pins. Remove pins that hold the loader on remove hydraulic quick attach lines and back out

IH 2250 and 2350 Mount-O-Matic loaders are the easiest. Pull the 2 pins that hold the loader on, back up and roll the loader frame down with the hydraulics (no stand needed, the loader frame becomes its own stand), unhook the hyd hoses and you are done.

I have a new 2010 Farmall 95 with a 730 loader. It has the quick mounts that will attach to anything made for skidsteers since 2000. So just drive up and drop bucket and grab pallet forks or whatever.
Whole shebang drops off in less than 5 minutes. Takes a little jiggeling to get it bsck on in sbout 10 minutes.

My Farmall M has a BushHog/Freeman 2000 loader on it. To remove it, I lower it, hook two light chains under the loader arms. (Chains go up to barn beam and are left there all the time) disconnect two hydraulic couplers, pull two pins from the lower end of the cylinders, pull the two pins from the loader arms to the frame, and pull two small pins that remove the trip arm from the frame bracket. That process takes about 5 minutes. Putting it back on takes 10 at the most.
