I don't think I'd eat a five year old pig unless it was some kind of an emergency. I think it'd taste like an old shoe, but I don't know because I haven't tried it.

Used to butcher an old sow sometimes for meat at home.
Tasted as good as any pork and the bacon slices were huge.

lady i knew in Austin had 3 of em living in house with her...litter box trained and all...she had to get rid of them and i offered her half the meat and i'd do all the work...she almost passed out lmao

Black Bear is very good meat and like deer if cooked right very tender.Wife just cooked a Bear roast before Christmas very much like roast beef or even more like Buffalo.But think you're right about the Pot Belly Pig not very good.

A good friend ALWAYS replied to those ads looking
for "a good home" for a pot bellied pig. Over 3
or 4 years he barbequed 4 of them. It tasted good
to me !
