O.T.---Pepsi

Got this eMail today---Pepsi has a new 'patriotic' can
coming out with pictures of the Empire State Building , and the
Pledge of Allegiance on them.
However, Pepsi left out two little words on the pledge,
'Under God.'
Anybody else seen this?

False as is often the case, the same has been said about coke. Snopes has busted it

Only thing pepsi or coke are good for in my book is taking rust off
chrome and cleaning toilet bowls. I know people who get the
shakes if they go even 12 hours without their caffeine.

Wiki has all four versions of the Pledge, the "under God" added in the 50"s when we were locked in a death struggle with those vicious, murderous, godless Commies that we had to encircle and contain...
You remember the godless Commies; they"re the same ones we now have little trouble cooperating with in our death struggle against vicious, murderous, godless jihadists that we must encircle and contain...
How does it go?? "The enemy of my enemy is my friend, until my enemy becomes my friend, and the enemy of my new friend therefore becomes my enemy...
Merry Christmas to all!! (of good will??)...

Not pointing fingers at you personally as I don"t know you, so no offense meant here. That said as die hard Coke drinker you"d be amazed at the number of times I"ve heard those exact words over the years from people that drink coffee from sunup to sundown, getting just as much if not more caffiene rush from their drink of choice. Then add in the smokers saying the same kind of thing and the number of times I"ve heard it just grows even more.....

In the end EVERYONE who has a real life has some sort of vice. The way I see it as long as it isn"t effecting anyone but them, and they aren"t hurting anyone due to their vice (ie-drunk drivers, etc) then why should anyone else worry what anyone else does in their personal life????? Doing so is no better than the Government nowdays wanting to step in and tell us that for kids to eat and drink the same things that many of us have eated and drank all of our lives are now bad. No thought is given to the fact that most of us have not gotten obese eating and drinking these things, and these things alone haven"t made us unhealthy, mainly because we get off our a$$es and actually played outside as kids and now, as adults actually get out there and work for a living....instead of setting around in front of a video game or computer ALL day doing essentially nothing.....

Hey, if we can't trust Snopes, then we can't trust 'em...that's all I'm sayin'. We just need to be consistent around here.

I didn't say anything about anyone needing to be dead, or that I can't get along with 'em...I get along with 'em just fine, but a LOT of folks on this board think that, since Snopes is apparently run by a bunch of godless commie libs, they are the devil's spawn and are not to be trusted. So if we can't trust 'em, it makes no sense to cite 'em as a source for anything.

Personally, I don't have a problem with Snopes.

Yes, I know some coffee drinkers like that too. I have never smoked or drunk coffee or alcohol but I am grumpy and disagreeable, which is just as bad only cheaper. Not sure if I have a real life or not. I'm 24 and it makes me sad to see many people my age and younger who don't get any exercise or do any physical work. They've got a lot of life ahead of them and it seems to me they're missing the best parts. If drinking soda works for you then go for it, I say.

In my opinion snopes has more credibility than the average Joe who doesnt have the resources that snopes can call on. Bill M.

Yeah, I know what you mean about the grumpy and disagreeable part, I'm on the downhill slide to 43 and I'm the same way...or at least that's my wife tells me...LOL To be honest though I've actually weened myself somewhat off so much Coke and now drink more Ginger Ale than anything else...but without something to get me up and going and help keep me going I'd be alot more grumpy and disagreeable than I already am.....and I know my wife don't want that...

Hmm, all the more reason to buy from the smaller bottlers. There are a surprising number of them in each state. Like 1919 root beer--

This lie has been on the net as long as there has been a net, they just change the name of the company, the last I heard it was DR. Pepper.
