Hey folks,
anyone wear muck boots? If so, have you ever had them resoled?
I step heavier on one side than the other and have one pretty slick. Also stepped on a nail so seeps a little water in. Hate to throw them away.

nope cost as much round here to have em repaird as new ones. try leaning to the side with the most tread, should work, don't know bout the hole unless you screw a screw into it.

you are a lucky man, German women sound very nice, they make apple butter, come to get you when you are stuck in the snow, buy you workboots, you better give that girl a great big hug, she deserves it ! She sounds like a really nice wife!!

I bough a pair last winter only wore them once, they were to tall and i couldn't get used to them.I bought a pair for half the price at walmart that are just as warm and look better.

I bought LL Bean boots around 10 years ago. You know the style, rubber bottoms with leather uppers. Well, I wore out the stitching this year. You can send them back and for around $40 US plus shipping, they will put new bottoms on them. Got them back and they are better than before. They were always a little tight with winter socks so I had them moved up 1 size.

Perfect!

I love em, only thing I wear October to April. Just had to replace mine this winter after 3 seasons. Sole had seperated all along one side on one of them. Shoe shop said no go on resealing the sole. I was tempted to try some silicone but finally decided that for 80 bucks, from Tractor Supply, it just wasnt worth it. I'd think even with the euro down with the exchange rate you could get a pair pretty reasonable unless there is a lot of import duty on them. As to the hole, I'd use a tire plug.

Just ordered a pair (the heel just wore through)....... I have an American address so can order online. those $80 boots cost about $180 here.

No, cannot resole a composite made boot, they are throw aways. I get about a year to year and a half out of a pair and that is wearing them everyday from fall through spring. They are still good to wear for a long time after the outer shell starts separating.

For that nail hole, plug it just like you would a tubeless tire. On the older Lacross or Northern brand boots I used regular tire patches (for holes on the sides). Just get the surface clean and treat it like a tube.

good luck, Gene
