I just replaced the engine in my Oliver 1650, but before I did, I purchased a DeWalt 3/8 cordless Impact Wrench. Wow. It cut my wrenching time in half. I highly recommend this tool for anyone who wrenches on equipment. It's now my favorite tool in my shop. What's your's?

Sounds like something I want.. I have a makita set with drill, impact driver and florescent work light that I like real well. Just ordered a pair (sae+metric) dogbone wrenches which I think will become my favorites along with the 4 way screwdrivers.

I agree with pocket knife. When I had employees I tried to get them all to carry one. I told them they save you 20 minutes a day. I think I need a cordless impact driver too, from what I have been reading about them here.

I have a 3/8 Snap on and I love it. I take it with me on road trips in case I blow a tire
it will take the lug nuts off in a hurry.
Every man needs one.

I bought a heavy cordless impact about seven years ago, without doubt the best tool I ever owned,it made repairs out in the field so easy, could take a guard off in about five seconds to be replaced, change a flat in a few minutes, use it all the time, very few weeks go by that it isn't being used for some repair..and I can use it as a driver for screws as well

Have the big DeWalt 1/2 inch with 300 lb.ft. of torque, even use it in the shop stead of draggin air hoses around, and my pliers is always on my hip.

My two 12 volt and my one 18 volt cordless drill motors.Seems I have one or the other in hand or near all the time.Drill use, screw use, socket use, door stop, prop, hold down, the uses are too numerous to list.

I 2nd the DeWalt 1/2 impact with 300 FPT. I thought they may be exaggerating a little but it will hang in there. No air hose or compressor to fool with. Has saved me loads of time.
I also have a bag full of DeWalt cordless tools so that gives me 2 chargers. They gave an extra battery with the bag so I have a total of 5 batteries. I have yet to run out of power as I always have at least one battery ready no matter what I am doing. The drill, the cut off grinder, etc., I could not live without now.

My Leatherman Tool. The "Surge" is the latest one I own. Had a few of the others. All very good, this one is the best yet though.
Cuss myself everytime I walk out of the house without it. Need it every day.

Id also have to say pocket knife, being as I have to open small square bales every day 2xs a day 7 days a week, I hate the random time Im in a hurry and forget it. Its no fun pulling plastic twine off tight bales. Cell phone is handy too, when working around anmials, if theres a problem I have my phone and many phone numbers right in my pocket. Dont like when I forget that either. J

I have to agree that my pocket knife gets a lot of use and does a lot of things it was never desighned to do.
Another tool, I use a lot is my cotter pin puller; it don"t work worth a da-n for pulling cotter pins but it does a myriad of other things from removing dogdish hubcaps to installing rear windows in pickups. Got one in each of my main toolboxes.

I use a cordless DeWalt impact everyday. It is a very reliable and powerful tool. I must say the best tool of all is the knowledge that can be obtained on the internet though. Like most things, you must take information with a grain of salt. If you waid through the B.S., you can find lots of solutions for lots of problems.

I will have to say all of the cordless tools. You can do so much more easier. As I age my wrists are giving me more pain. I find myself using my cordless drill instead of a screw driver all of the time. I just have a cheaper Craftmans cordless impact but use it everyday. Some days I am not be able to pull on ratchets by hand, that cordless impact lets me keep working.
