O/T: '95 Chrysler TC van, digital dash problem

The digital dash in my van started acting up today. It flashes dim and bright when I use the turn signals. It also goes dim when I step on the brake.

My first guess would be a ground wire problem, but I could be way off the mark. Any suggestions or ideas? Any known issues with this vehicle? Or digital dashes in general?

That might not be a dash problem. Check the signal light bulbs as they are a double filiment bulb and you may have one with one filiment broken and shorting against the other filiment. I would guess that the problem is in the rear as your stop lights are having an affect. You could also be having a problem with the signal light switch.
 
I had a car where one morning i stepped on the brake and the (digital) radio would fade out/power off and come back when i let up. Later, it wouldn't start when i wanted to goto lunch. New battery fixed that one.
I guess the alternator couldn't keep everything going with a weak battery.
check your electrical system.
