I have a 2000 Nissan Frontier 3.3 V6 that had antifreeze get into the oil. A mechanic said that a bad lower intake manifold gasket could cause this and that the manifold on that engine often times will warp causing a leak internally. Anyone ever heard of this? I know a head gasket or a cracked block will cause leaks as well but a manifold gasket would be a simpler fix.

Never heard about the Nissans before, but the Olds 350 V-8's were bad for intake manifold gaskets leaking. Most of them only leaked outside, and you replaced it when you couldn't tolerate the leak any more.

Since you have to remove the intake manifold to get the heads off anyway, why not take off the manifold and inspect the gasket and sealing surfaces first? You should be able to tell if it's leaking. HTH
Good Luck and God Bless
