Can someone please tell me if my D15 ser2 should leak water out of the intake or exhaust bolt, the tractor smoked bad when I bought it and the seller said it was the guides so while putting the head back on I filled it with water before I mounted and tightened the exhaust and intake manifold. The water is comming out of thr bolt hole? Is this normal?
Thanks alot

OBVIOUSLY it's NOT normal for coolant to weep out past bolt threads.

I am NOT familiar with that specific engine, but it's NOT unusual for various bolt holes to reach into the water jacket, setting up a scenario for a possible leak.

Drain the coolant, remove the bolt or stud, clean and degrease the hole AND the bolt or stud and seal it with Loctite thread sealant, which should end the problem.

The blocks on the D-14s (and probably 15s) were bored out CA sized blocks with little metal left between the jug holes. Had a D-14 once with a hairline crack between each cylinder and it spit water out the exhaust.
