Brotherly love,what we need.

Well it's true. Thats exactly what we need. Helping one another with out criticism.Guess the dreary weather brings out the worst in all of us at one time or another. I've enjoyed the time reading these post but sometimes it gets the best of me. I Love humor of all kinds, and some of the comparisons don't ring quite true. What makes for a great holiday season is the Music played by The posters, Old Roy, Alan, Dave , all bring me cheer and good feelings. Sure could use more of that. Now there are fellows on this site that are truly knowledgeable and extreemly helpfull with out being sarcastic and mean spirited. Y,T has poofed some posts that were bordering on humiliation ,mean spirited and full of self importance. Cant say I blame em any.I've had one done to me. so after reflection I can say it was the right thing to do. Any way folks. Be kind to one another and over look those who can't wait to bring down others .Self importance just isn't worth it at all. Life is way to short. So I'm Done with my rant, with the exception of saying, Merry Christmas and a Very Happy new year to all. Warmest reguards LOU.

Hey glennster,
Might want to have a talk with Lou about the Dave.

You are right Lou, I guess we are all guilty of sometimes speaking (posting) before thinking of how it may effect others. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to one and all. May God bless.

The only time I get a little Snappy is when our infamous troll appears and tries to cut others on the forum . He still uses different alliasses and IP #'s but still easily tracked. too bad the last post was deleted before I got to wish him a Merry Christmas.

Maybe Some of the pack can post his address so we can all send him a Christmas card.

All other posts I make is to be taken in stride as I don't intentionally mean anything to hurt anyone.

Most of you know me as Extended family so to Those Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

I'ts all in good fun. Dave2 is a pal o-mine- He can dish it out as good as take fun poked at him. Wouldn't have it any other way lol. LOU

Merry CHRISTmas to you too, Lou. Sometimes I have to tell myself to "Be a gentleman" when a situation with another person gets tense. Heck of it is,so many times I'm too late. Jim

Old Roy, I don't believe for a minute that your posts mean to be hurtfull. Were all in this together so it's swell being helpfull to those asking for help. Makes for a great time. Sure can use more of it. Reguards LOU.

FWIW, I have noticed that tempers flare when the daylight gets short and the weather gets cold. Been happening for years. Kinda scared me the first time, back in 2005, right after I joined YT.

The good news is that warm weather and busy hands will return the forum to its usual good natured self.

Now I am stuck in the house nursing this leg and I have noticed that I get snappy with her and the kids. There is stuff to do and I can't do it. I have too much time in front of the computer and can't even shovel my own walk. The standby generator is in pieces in the workshop, and I am going nuts.

I'm not hanging up on this site yet. Y'all have saved me thousands of dollars and hundreds of manhours.

Merry Christmas!

Aaron

I am still very new to this site, but not to life. I have been "cracked on" several times, but because I know that there are some good people in here, I don't let it bother me. Oh,...my faith in God helps a lot too!

Great looking MF65! There's one for sale in town in front of an apartment complex! Wifey would never permit it,. Now that I have the new 583, I gotta sell the 175, and Ford 3910. The 583 is sweet, but I love the old iron!

Good thoughts, and I certainly agree with you. Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.

Lou, Happy Holidays to you and your family, Im relative new here. I don't like to post here for just the reasons you explained,A couple of people rub me wrong on here so I feel it best not to do alot of posting. I read the post almost daily and have came up with alot of good tdeas that are very helpful. Have a good xmas everyone

Merry Christmas to you, too, Lou! Life's too short to waste time being mean...

Here are a couple of my all-time favorite tractor pics of a really cool tractor from my "Versatile friend" from this site, Don Wadge.

They're pretty enough to go on a Christmas card, so I thought them appropriate! ha....

If th posts I've read on these forums are any indication, there are a LOT of folks who visit here who don't believe in "brotherly love." To them, if a "brother" is down and out, the only acceptable way to "give him a hand" is in the form of a fist upside the head to tell him that it's all his fault he's in the condition he's in, and that he needs to wake up and pull himself up by the bootstraps and GET TO WORK. And there is no mercy or compassion in their hearts.

NO, I'm not perfect; I'm not even better than the worst of them. But I understand that when Jesus performed acts of kindness, He didn't separate the righteous from the unrighteous in choosing to whom His help would go. He healed the 10 lepers, even though only ONE of them went to the temple and gave thanks to God as they ALL were instructed to do. Are we, at least those of us who call ourselves Christians, not also instructed to follow Jesus' example?

But the hearts of many among us have been hardened, for whatever reason. "Brotherly love" is looked down upon, derisively referred to as "sitting in a circle holding hands and singing Kum-Ba-Yah." I would hope that hearts would open and people would be more generous and merciful to their fellowman, but I don't really expect it these days. "By their fruits you will know them," I believe it was said. And what comes out of the mouth--or off the keyboard--is a reflection of what's in one's heart.

So while I hope for "brotherly love," I don't expect it these days...and when I do see it, I'm pleasantly surprised.

If you are thinking of loaning the Versatile to Santa Claus, would you please mention to him about not parking on my roof.. I will leave the front door open..

What you are talking about is some people who are showing off.
Then there are some who are heartless, that is until life goes wrong for them.
I know this, everything can be going good, and suddenly everything can go wrong.Ive seen it happen a lot of times.People like you describe most likely have not had any bad things happen to them yet. Some might even make it through their whole life and not have any bad happen. Most of us arent that lucky.
I am fortunate enough that in my life some of the people I ran into were very good people.I dont know where the good guys are any more.It seems like the crabby people have taken over and it seems to be getting worse all the time.
Maybe there is an overload of crabby people with a computer who chat in forums.
The world does have a way of beating the good out of people though.

Very well put Lou, I would love to meet in person these gentlemen that have helped me out, it would diffinetly be my honor as these as some highly intelligent folks. Hope you all have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!!!!!!!
