everybody sharing old photo's...

this is my family on West Galveston Island back in the 30's...my grandfather Ernest Wern is holding the ducks and my dad is second tallest boy in pic...rest are aunts and uncles.
other picture shows my grandfather [in front of door] and my great uncles...lost one in WW2 and another in Korea...luckily my dads generation all survived WW2.

heres a few more...2 are from the old family farm on West Galveston Island and the other is my great aunts house in Houston at a later date...i still got a few pieces of my grandfathers old C Cab.

pic's sure shrunk up using community album...i never had any luck with any of the pic posting sites...guess i'm gonna have to get some web space of my own.
 
Me, when I was about 9 or 10 years old. I'd been bugging my dad to let me shoot that 12 guage, and he finally relented, figuring it would knock me on my can and I'd forget about it.

I shot a tin can off a fence post, and then went down in the corral and shot the jack rabbit. The photo was taken about 20 minutes after I'd shot the shotgun for the first time.

My Mom & her brother. Mom said it was around 1940. She is 84 now. Thank you all for sharing your pictures, they are sure enjoyable to see.

Near Bisbee, North Dakota if you're the Bob I'm thinking you are. Those buildings look very similar to ones on the farm where I grew up near Rock Lake.
