I have what I believe to be a 1944 2N. (I-beam style radius rods, encased front distributor, 3 spd, etc. SN looks to be 9NI538bI (the funny 1"s and 6"s)but I have no idea if the engine is original). It"s a working farm tractor. I was out moving hay the other day and the LF spindle sheered off and down she went. I ordered a LF spindle but the "notch" is on the outside on the replacement and on the inside on the one that sheered. Yesterday"s Tractor made a great effort to figure it out and couldn"t. The one that sheered doesn"t have a keyway, just the "c notch", but its on the engine side of the tractor not the wheel side. Has anyone run in to this before and have a solution or a source for the correct spindle? Thanks -Dave
