I am looking buying a 1951 John Deere Model A. My questions as follows: A) what is the difference between a 1950 and a 1951 model "A"?
B) Are there any differences in value - assuming the same condition? C) I am looking at a serial number 662259 - could this possibly be a 1951 model? MANY THANKS for any help much appreciated!!!!

It's a late 1950 as far as the year goes. I'm not an expert, but I don't know of any differences between the 1950 and the 1951 A John Deere.

Yes , there are. The cast rear centers are diff, 50 has no 2"holes ,51 and 52 do. 51 more than likely had a Delco DIST and 50 had a WICO xh Mag with or with out KILL LUG. 51 also would have had RED warning light on REAR of Batt box.And 51,s more than likely had no CREEPER 1st GEAR unless special order.
