Had hernia on left side repaired yesterday. Had right one done 4 years ago. Pain is worse today then yesterday. The pain pills they gave me don't seam to be working and they make me sick to my stomach. So I think I will just start taking pm ibuprofin and sleep, sleep, sleep. Wife is taking care livestock which only consists of 4-pigs, 18- hens, 5-roosters, 9-barn cats and 1-dog. Hope we don't get measurable snow for a few days as I plow snow for 12 homes with my cx-100 Case and front-end loader. Hardest part would be pulling on my boots.
 
take it easy-you dont want to start over-- get a smaller scoop as you get older -and scoop a little slower-better yet let some one else do it for a while till your able--goood luck!!Roy from Iowa
 
Wishing you well with your recuperation. If you are like me, I HATE for my wife to have to do my work. Take care of yourself as you get better and don't make it take longer than it should. A politically incorrect Merry Christmas to you and your family.
 

I found that "Echo Spring" 86 Proof is a better pain killer...Cheaper too..

Guess my Grandad had Good Taste.!

I know what you are going through, had one fixed 10 yrs. ago, they had do an open incision and it's hurt like a B for several days, went back to work after a week (dr. wanted me out for 2 wks. but had no compensation for lost pay) slipped on an oil spot, thought I tore it loose again! Wishing you a speedy recovery.
 
Here's hopin for a speedy recovery, just don't do too much too soon.
You might try askin yer doc for a stronger pain pill, tell him what you have isn't working.
Also, keep track of the pain, if it doesn't seem to be improving as it should, you may need the doc to recheck things.
I had pain drag on too long on one of my surgeries,
infection had set in. Wound up havin the dog chew the infection out,
but that was in another post of mine.
