Rear axle seal replacement TE20 1948 Ferguson

Need advice. I need to replace seals on rear axles but, when ordering parts they don"t offer the bearing retainer collar. In the manual the first thing they tell you to do is drill 1/4 inch hole in the retainer and split off with chisel. Where can I find this part? Thanks in advance on any ideas or suggestion.

I did that to my 1948 TE several years ago. If you are just sealing off a leak and not needing to replace the bearing, then get a "sure seal" that will slide on the shaft and act as a shaft seal. I changed my bearings and got the new one and the retainer from the Massey Ferguson dealer. That bearing is a bear to get off so don't mess with it unless you need to.

Thanks for the advice. I only need to replace the seal and not the bearings. My brake shoes are saturated with oil. Is the "sure seal" different from the replacement seals inner - outer?
