I HAVE A 2006 RAM 2500 WITH AUTOMATIC SHIFT. At times it is very hard to get the shift lever to move out of park. HAS anybody else had this problem and what was the fix. The brake pedal has to be depressed to move the shift lever. Thanks Amo

Is the truck sitting on level ground when this happens or is it facing up hill or down hill? If it is sitting on an incline sometimes the pin in the transition that needs to be pulled out of the parking pawl can hang up making it difficult to get out of park because the entire weight of the vehicle is resting on it. Often times just setting the parking brake before letting your foot off the brake after you put it in park will stop this.
