Tractors with Implements (Photos)

Here are some pictures of my 1948 John Deere A with a John Deere #44 Plow and a 1951 John Deere B with a Series ABG 200 Mounted Cultivator.
I really love the look of a tractor with an implement added to them. We must remember the tractor didnt do all of the work on the farm it needed Implements as well!

Post some pictures of your tractors that are accompanied by implements. I, as well as everyone else, would love to see them.

I saved these two implements from the iron pile earlier this year. Purchased the Plow for $100 and the Cultivator for $50. Glad I did as they look really good on my tractors!

Thanks for Reading!

Andrew

It looks like the B has the Rolla-Matic front end I"m not sure of the A it may have been too early. I remember as a young pup driving a early 50"s A with Rolla-Matic discing plowed ground for a neighbor and we had Farmalls and I loved the front end because the when you hit a dead furrow the steering wheel with spinner wouldn"t jam your thumb. Nice trip down memory lane as Allen said.

Thanks for the pics. Dad pulled a model 44 2-16's with a 51 A all through the 50's. Still have both of them. My son hooked them together again this fall for some fun plowing. It was the first time that tractor/plow combination had been used for maybe forty years. Spent many hot hours cultivating with a ABG 400 (I think) four row cultivator on the 51 A. My shoulders still ache!

We have an area that we plant a garden so thats what we use it for. That and just to say that i have one is another reason for owning it. The way I found it was posting a want add on craigslist.

Yep, I got the 1945 John Deere B running today. I along with new spark plugs and wires I put in a new condenser and she fired up with a little help from starter fluid. Ran it and drove it around for about a half hour to warm it up and work any kinks out if it. It hadnt run for months. I guess that I need to start it up more often to keep it in good running shape.

The 1951 John Deere B in the picture is not running yet as I stole the carb off of it to get the 1945 John Deere B going.

The 1948 John Deere A and my 1948 Farmall C are my best running tractors. Both start up very easy.

I still need to put my 1942 John Deere B's engine back together, but most likly will do a full restoration on it as I want to make it my show tractor. I was my grandpas tractor so I want to restore it in his memory.

Here's my favorite plow- a #16 IH 4-14". Just sold the tractor Sunday. Hated to see it go, but I ain't got room for them all.

This is the first time out of the shop. Took 3 years to get this far-almost finished. 1939 M-M RT with the factory cab and a working planter. Hard to find rear tires are from WW2 era.

My 1959 John Deere 430 Standard with Mounted 4110 Cultivator and 41A Side Dresser. Have a '58 420 I want to set up the same way, its still in its work clothes and used to cultivate/side dress the sweet corn. Also plan on restoring this 40V with the 4500 cultivator rig and #43 Side Dresser.

My 1967 D-17 with 4 bottom snap-coupler "slat" bottom plow.. Wish I had the picture from this year's plow day with the dual on and it also has a IH loader now, not the Kelley (Cheaper to buy a different loader than all new cylinders)

My cousin and I and our 1962 Case 930 and 6 bottom Oliver Round Beam plow. These pictures are a couple years old.. Tractor sits in the barn now.. has injector pump troubles.. I let it sit with bio-diesel in it, now everything is "stuck" in the pump (which had about 50 hours run time on it) Hopefully I can get it fixed over the winter :( .. Oh and for those paying attention and wondering, the papers on the side of the grill are the sales brochure for the M&W turbo that sits under the "hump" in the hood

My Massey Self-Propelled picker. Bought it just over a year ago, picked corn with it this fall.. Still needs a lot of work done to it, but sure was fun to play with it.

Thanks for lookin
Brad

Waiting on someone to come out and give us an estimate on what is will cost to level the area. We have a building picked out, its 42 x 81 x 13, one of there winter specials. We are wanting to put cement in the building as well. Hopefully if everything works out with the bank then we will be able to put up the shed. The Building is around $31,250 and the cement would be $11,500. The electrical is around $1500. The shed would have an overhead door with remotes, 3 window and 2 walkin doors. Hopefully we will be able to put it up, then I will practically live in it to get all of my projects done. I can't wait!!!
I will try and post more pictures of my car collection. Thanks for your interest!
Andrew.
