Senate Bill S 510

Janet Napolitano's Homeland Security (I use the term loosely) has failed two or three times to interdict a common, easily PROFILED bomber. The U.S. needs to PROFILE. (and fire Nappy , too.) Worthless overgrown organization. Let the British and Israelis teach us how they do it. Very successfully I might add. We are to D@mned nice.

Who authors these bills and doesn't a bill have to go through some process to verify if it's any good?

Go read the actual bill, in the first paragraph it explicitly exempt farmers from the bill. Furthermore the only a few things are given to the Homeland Security Secretary; one is to provide a report. The agriculture and health and human services secretaries do most of the work and enforcement.

Do you really think that the buffoons in the federal government would be able to enforce ALL the people that grow their own produce and have a roadside stand?

I heard about that about a year ago. You own an apple tree on your property and a neighbor asks if he could have some to give his wife to bake a pie, and you let him have them and then go to jail.

Is it any wonder? Any wonder at all? Just the slightest?

Two hundred or so years ago, the common folk would be rodden their muskets. Today we complain and then change the TV station to something more suitable and less complicated.

This bill got a lot of attention on our CBS TV station in Albany NY several weeks ago. It is BS in my opinion. The point was brought up that our local county health depts. and USDA already inspect local producers that "PACKAGE natural products" and sell at craft fairs and farm markets etc. Plus the department of weights and measures and USDA also monitor producers at random in many instances including bulk tanks in all dairy operations. The news people interviewed someone from the state health dept. and that person said it was virtually financially imposible to monitor every roadside stand and every Amism baker and farmer selling out of a buggy at the local hardware store parking lot. Some of these people are really nasty, but the city folk think they are the best of the organic producers. (yes they are, they even spread their own shi# on their fields.) Since I saw this post earlier I saw a segment on the National News showing the lack of testing of seafood imported from China, Vietnam and Maylasia, comercially grown downstream of major manufacturing plants and population centers. Do You Know Where Your Micky D Fishwich came from??? Think about that. My thought to you; grow the food that you consume, produce the power you need, electric and heat, and work for pay to supply the rest of your needs. and keep your guns clean and out of sight.

You're way under estimating the stupidity of the average Gov't Bureaucrat. They'd go after a lady baking a pie and leave the bank robbers alone.S 510 is serious business.

One of these parasites bothered a woman selling rhubarb pies.He got a pie in the face. Many years ago I went to a farmers market with some red potatoes for sale.15 cents a pound. The city weights and measures bum questioned my scale because it didnt say Not legal for trade on the dial.I said put your weights on my scale,He refused.I told him to go up to the super market and check the chicken packages with the pad under the chicken to sop up added water.I sold lots of potatoes to people who were glad to get them from fellow who grew them.I always added extra potatoes to every bag.I stopped to see a friend on the way home, he took all I had and paid me more than I asked.I never went back to the farmers market.
