Amazing what a cold snap will do....

The weather finally went from pleasant to where it should be, and it's amazing how people suddenly snap to needing to get ready for winter.

I've had 2 snow blowers posted on craigslist for a little over a month. Might have gotten 3 emails total since I started posting them.

All of a sudden, I got 3 emails today asking about one of them. Doing 1st come 1st serve basis, and I'm sure they'll both be sold by the time the 1st snow fall is supposed to be cleaned up....

Agree fully (reminds myself of last year)
Had my IH 140 in the shed that would only run with the choke at 3/4...
Then it snowed, got the tractor put back together, drove it around the yard, dragged the cart out to the road, dug my truck out and off to the used tractor dealer. The previous summer he had repaired a IH 140 road grader, sold it - but the buyer traded the low hour grader blade for an old disc... so two grader blades were there. (Had my eye on it, just kept putting it off) We found the newer blade (had other customers getting old 3 point blades) Next day found my old chain, pulled the 214 plow off the
tractor, fixed a problem with my new fast hitch blade(rough spot on point) cleaned the driveway and sprung a coolant leak. (broken hose clamp, luckily) Off to auto parts, found hose that would fit, figured out choke problem on here (carb instructions missing step) Nothing like the cold weather to get things going that should have already been done lol

Yup me too.My 89 f350 that I took the plates off of last winter and just use for a plow and field truck had a battle yesterday.Took her out bout a month ago to put up a tree stand and the gas tank fell out.So we went 15 rounds yesterday and I wound up with a 6x6 block of wood falling on my face and some nasty knuckle scrapes. My wife wanted to know if I had been in a bar brawl. So I guess I won this battle, but Im far from winning the the war with this old girl.To be continued!!!!

Good Luck All

that blade looks just like one i bought 2 years ago for $50 . works good on my ih 300 for grading . not as good on the ih 240 too light. i have snow blade for my pickup for snow .

I once had an ad coming out in the local newspaper to sell a 4X4 pickup. By chance, we got a 4" snowfall the day before my ad came out.

Four guys showed up at the same time to look at it. I could have had an auction. The first guy wrote a check without even haggling price. While we were writing a bill of sale, he told me he had an old IH 2wd pickup. His wife had slid off the road the day before and got stuck in the ditch. When the poor guy left home that morning, I think he had orders from his wife not to come home without a 4X4 pickup.

LOL
I guess I'm one of those procrastinators too.
I woke up Saturday morning with about 4" of snow on the ground. Spent most of the day floundering around in the wet heavy downfall putting the front plow on my tractor and fixing the pivot on the backblade so I could clean the driveway.
Usually we get a little dusting as a wakeup call.
Not this year.

that looks better now just don't forget where ya parked the other one so ya don't hook it while plowing snow.
