sears roebuck tractors

has anybody ever heard of a tractor built by sears and roebuck Co. model series 38. Any info on it would be good. i found one in sad shape.
thanks AL

Is this a TRACTOR tractor from the old days or a garden tractor? I did a quick Google and didn't find any info on a model 38. Jim

this an old tractor. what is left of the hood was made of wood. it does not look anything like a sears suburan garden tractor.

According to a site I found Sears marketed the Graham Bradley because Graham didn't have a marketing network. Sears did sell a Bradley tractor in the mid-thirties but sold very few. It had no connection to Graham Bradley or David Bradley. Sorry I couldn't get the link to attach so you'll have to cut and paste this link.

Its a Sears & Roebuck ECONOMY tractor, had one for years and just sold it this past summer, they were built with Model A Ford engine and trans. Sold through Sears stores complete or a kit to put your own engine and trans in from your old car. Think they were sold from 1938 to 1940. Sears also handled the Graham Bradley tractor that was slightly larger and based on Dodge or Continental engine.

Sears did have their on factories for farm equipment.I have an old catalog with pictures of the factories.
