I have a stepson who badly needs coal in his stocking. Anyone here willing to fill a post office shipping box and mail it to me? i'm deep in Florida and can't even find a source of coal for blacksmithing nearby. Glad to pay of course.

2 years ago, My friend and I filled up 2 boxes with gravel for her niece and nephew..

THEY WERE NOT IMPRESSED!!!!! But it made a point. We waited a few hours to issue out the real gifts.. kinda made the behavior straighten up a little bit.

I'll check with our local farmers co-op on Monday, as I can remember they always used to sell coal (but has been ten years or so ago since last time I noticed a pile there).. I think they heated their shop with it then as well..

Seems like I should be able to get a lump a bit cheaper than the Christmas coal website.. but who knows.. (being the family hauls a large portion of grain in there, they'd probably give me a chunk, given the circumstances.. LOL)

If nothing else, charcoal would probably work too!

Glad to see I'm not the only one that does this sort of thing!! Actions speak louder than words.. If they know yer bluffing, like I always knew my dad was, it's hard to get us youngins to change LOL (He's been gonna scrap my treasures next week for 15 years now.. Makes me clean up once a month though lol)

I can get coal here. Email me your shipping address and I'll send you some. My addy is rhouston09 at yahoo dot com replace at and dot with the actual characters. My kids and I traded coal for several Christmases as a joke.

Reminds me I wrapped up a peice of coal for the Mrs one year and told her it was a DIY diamond kit. Just add heat, pressure and time. The look was priceless.

I gave my oldest brother coal one year. All the nieces & nephews asked what it was. None had ever see coal before.

You can't do that !

Here's why.

He will tell a teacher who will tell a social worker.

You will be effecting him for life ,scaring his fucture thoughts

Next thing you know child protective services will be knocking at your door .

They will try and remove him from the home.

Then you will end up in court because of coal .

So in short if he is "really" a bad kid kick his but the way our dads did when we were bad.

Which ever way you go the end result will be the same.

What has happened to us all .

When we were bad a crack in the but fixed it everytime...

Don't take this serious , but it's not far from the truth .

Ive heard that kids used throw stones at locomotives to get the fire man to throw coal back. They collected the coal to keep warm. Also heard of people walking along the tracks picking up coal. You think we are in hard times, just wait a while.
