O.T. 4.3 vortex intake swap

Sorry about the O.T. friend wants to put 4.3 in old S15 but wants it carburated. Can you get aftermarket intake or is there another intake from something else that will work? Motor from 98 olds bravada, S15 is 86. Again sorry for O.T. Thanks Rick P/Wis
 
I had a 2.8 that had a 4 barrel holley on it! It fit both the 2.8 and the 4.3. It was an adapter that bolted on top of the 2 barrel intake.

Id take the bravada engine to a junkyard and trade it for a later roller cam 350.

Had a 83 S-10 started out a 350 from a 72 vette, 9 transmissions later, then 2 engines later it ended up bout 420ci, ran 7.10's in the 1/8ths on street tires.

Anyways,, Last I knew Summit had em listed, but that was a very long time ago.

I also say, leave it fuel injected! Harnesses are out there! JMHO
 
Thanks Full Throttle.If you knew him the 4.3 has to much power.The truck is rusty and he needs to be busy,plus very limited funds. Thanks again for your help. Rick P
 
What engine and trans is in the S-15 now? The 4.3 will not just bolt in to a S truck that old, Fire wall interference and heater and trans tunnel etc. Maybe steering to. Would fit better in a 91 and up. Have a 93 short 2/wd with a 283/turbo 350 in it. Fits nice and runs and drives beautiful. I bought the book and studied and planned and bought the parts for the conversion and then its about 80 hours of fitting,cutting and heating and hammering and a lot of finish work to make it look professional. The book said that most of the conversions that get started never get finished. I know of quite a few around here that sold cheap half done. You and your friend are in for an adventure, Good luck. Go to a inboard outboard boat dealer they should have one used. Mercruiser and OMC and volvo used 2 and 4 barrel carbs on 4.3 chevy vortex.
