Now those are good ones!

I respectfully disagree with the subject title "joke of the day".

The subject title should have been "joke of the year".

Learned during the broadcast Sunday night that Dallas Cowboys had highest payroll in the league.

Heard today on the morning news that it will cost $72 for parking on Super Bowl Sunday.

Lost all interest as a Cowboy fan when Jerry Jones fired Tom Landry in 1989.

Started as a young Cowboy fan in 1965.

Drove to Dallas in my dad's 65 Chevy truck; filled the gas tank before leaving for $2.25.

Hamburger and fries for lunch was 50 cents.

Parked under bridge on I30 at Fair Park at no charge.

Bought an end zone ticket for $1.

Once inside, stepped over a 2ft divider at the 20 yard line and sat in an empty seat on the 50 yard line.

Got autographs during the game from the first row behind the bench that was at field level.

Oh for the good old days!

In the words of Cowboy great Don Meredith [i:654c4848f0]"Turn out the lights, the party's over".[/i:654c4848f0]

Good ones!

However the Cowboys are much better than our #&@^~ Buffalo Bills (Bills are still winless this season)

I wouldn't care had not our state tax $$$ been used to upgrade their stadium a few years ago. And they now play several "home" games in Toronto.

Geez....

Those are funny. Too bad they're also true.

One thing the news did mention after Wade Phillips got fired - things might have been different if Jones had kept out of it and let Phillips do his job.

Couldn't believe it when we heard on the news that parking for the Superbowl would be $72.00 and that's not even at Cowboy stadium but at the Rangers Baseball field!

Do you know how bad the Detroit Lions are....Way worse then the cowboys.

The Lions are 33-120 for the last 10 years. I may be off a loss or 2 on that W/L number.

The Lions are 2-6 so far this season.

The Lions have not had a .500 season since the Fall 1999 season.

Absolutely disgusting to say the least.
I love to watch the games and laugh at the
loss after loss.

True but the track records of each are far different. The cowboys used to be a good winning team. The Lions have still never made it to the super bowl.....I dont mean win the super bowl, just getting there.

Out of the 28 original NFL teams only 2 have not made it to the super bowl.....The Lions and I dont know the other team, it slips my mind.

Yeah, James those were the good old days. When the game was just a game and Big Business hadn't taken over. Too bad we've been in such a rush to get rid of worthwhile traditions.

By the way, I started out as a Steelers fan as a toddler. Those were some great Super Bowls....

Good defense reputations like "Steel Curtain", "Doomsday Defense", and "Purple People Eaters" may never be forgotten.

Cha ching bada bing! No seriously folks. Those made my day and I don't dislike Dallas. Last year I had several offers for great seats to St. Louis Rams home games. This year too, until they started winning. Where's some wood...

Yeah, I really wondered if Jones was going to change his ways after he stated a year ago he was behind Phillips regardless of the outcome. Nice to avoid down periods in the NFL but it is inevitable at some time. Just ask the 49'ers who 20 years ago were considered invincible for all time.
We found out here with the Bills that Wade made one hell of a DC but it is a lot more difficult to be the Head Coach.

Stafford's brittleness may well set the Lions back a few more years yet. One has to wonder if the teams that run along Lake Erie (or in the case of the Lions near it) are cursed. Bills, Browns, and Lions had success early on in their history(s) but have not had too much to show for it in recent decades. Bills cursed by "the drop" and "wide right" and the Browns with "the fumble" and "the drive."

You can't blame them for their losses,

They are human male species and natural instinct tells them to watch the cheer leaders too.

All we need up here Is "Big Ben" and a good receiver. we'll be down someday to see.

Skins fan myself,,, may favorite team,,, the one that is play'n the kowgirls...

The sun don't shine on one dogs arse all the time ...

Well look at the Buffalo Bills this year, 0-7, are they worse than the lions, YA, I think so now. lol

I love hockey and am no football fan, but them folks down there take them Cowboys real serious like. Not that there's anything wrong with it, but that's their deal, not the rest of the world's.

Years back I was at a huge bar down there when they were playing someone on Monday Night Football. No big deal to me. I was drinking a beer with some guys that I was down there with. I got up and went to the bar for another round, and some fella championed them Cowboys to me. I hadn't paid attention to the game, but shrugged and nodded that he was probably right and let it go at that. I said or did nothing disparaging, except for one thing. I wasn't estatic about them Cowboys, and that started some stuff right there. How dare I not love America's Cowboys as much as the whole dang world was sposed to. I didn't start out disliking them, but the more that I was told by the fella about how I was disrespecting them by not realizing how the sun rose and set in the desert because of them, especially before and after Monday Night Football games...well, thats all it took to change my mind about them sissies, and let him know it. It turned out to be a pretty good fist fight. Was five of us and more than that of them and no one called the cops, for which I'm thankful. We were just out for a couple of beers and happened to do it in a Dallas bar when America's team was playing Monday Night Football. They do take them Cowboys serious down there.

The 'Boys last beating started to make me feel a bit sorry for them..... until I remembered who their owner is and then I felt real good!

I don't dislike the Cowboys,I hate them.Romo is over rated, remember the fumble in Seattle,I loved it.

Practice at the Dallas Cowboys stadium was delayed after a player reported finding an unknown white powdery substance on the ground. After a complete analysis, forensic experts determined that the white substance, unfamiliar to most of the players, was in fact, the goal line. Practice will resume tomorrow after Police and Homeland Security decided the team was unlikely to encounter the substance again.

Good jokes. I live 1 county west of the Cincinnati Bungles, see more Colts shirts than I do Cincinnati shirts. But then, the Colts sent a couple of rookies, a couple of cheerleaders, an inflatable, and a souvenir truck to our county fair a couple years ago. The Bengals have never done anything like that, even though our county seat (Lawrenceburg, IN) is the second real town west of Cincinnati on US 50.

The Brown family just doesn't care about the fans.
